LUAG Centennial Mark
In honor of the 100th anniversary of Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG), a free and inclusive public museum, I was on a team of four that set out to create a centennial mark to commemorate a century of creativity, education, and community connection.
This celebration called for a bold and respectful evolution of LUAG’s visual identity. The final mark my group and I presented introduces a refreshed graphic language that reflects the dynamism of LUAG’s past, present, and future. In hope, this mark stands as a beacon for LUAG’s centennial celebration, uniting exhibitions and outreach efforts under a cohesive and celebratory design. The design proudly represents LUAG’s role as a cultural cornerstone in the Lehigh Valley, championing art as a tool for connection, dialogue, and transformation.

While brainstorming the Centennial Mark, our team kept coming back to one idea: LUAG’s impact isn’t one-dimensional. It’s layered, evolving, and deeply connected to different people and moments. So, rather than settle on a single static logo, we asked ourselves: Why not let the logo reflect that spirit of variation and adaptability?
That question led us to create three interchangeable logo variations.
Each version shares a core structure and color palette, with distinct design elements that echo the diversity of LUAG’s exhibitions, audiences, and stories. These rotating marks bring energy and movement to the centennial identity, just like LUAG has brought art to life for 100 years.
